How can one stop believing in that which they have a personal knowledge of is an absolute truth?
Jhn 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Jhn 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand.

This is a question that has been argued by good christians for ever.
The only thing that I can say to the subject is if a person is really a christian he will never turn back but people are people and some try to fake it and can't keep it up and give up and return to sin.
Thats what I mean when I say, wither on the vine, If you don't water the vine the fruit will wither.
You can make the decision to fallow God and not water the vine and die to sin. So you can't fake it, your life will tell the truth, your fruit is your witness and life. Love, Randy

Greetings brother Randy,
The scripture speaks of false brethren and says that those who continue are true believers. The scripture allows for the fakers in this way and the scripture declares true believers are safe and secure in Christ. The issue is Once "saved" which carries the notion that the person was indeed Once saved and not pretending or playing church.
Jhn 8:31 ¶ Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, [then] are ye my disciples indeed; Jhn 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
1Jo 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would [no doubt] have continued with us: but [they went out], that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. 1Jo 2:20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
God bless!

No one can take it but they can give it away or let it wither on the vine.

I agree with Randy, if you turn your back on God, although he never turns his back on you, you may loose what you had, the question is did you ever really have it in the first place?
2Ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called [us] with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
To understand OSAS one must understand Grace.
Rom 11:6 And if by grace, then [is it] no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if [it be] of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

I believe you can lose your salvation, but only if you turn your back on HIM and stop believing. I do believe that a person can believe that Christ died for our sins and has no doubt in their heart and be saved and later in life stop believing. The devil is a strong adversary to the human being. It takes constant vigilance on our part not to slip and fall into the devils plan. We can turn our backs on GOD, however HE will never turn his back on us. HE waits patiently for us to find our way back to HIM. It only takes faith the size of a mustard seed to move mountains with GOD's help, that's why we must have faith so we can help God help us.

You can lose Christian salvation if you stop believing in Christ.
God will never turn from you however. Even if the Christians believe he will.
