Once you have successfully figured out that the person you are about to interact with is stubborn, stick a neon colour warning note in your mind, for them. Once you are done with this declaration, make sure you don’t treat them like you treat everyone else. Try to keep your calm at its highest level when you are settling issues with them or even if you are having a normal every day conversation with them. Do not give out straight flat responses, like you usually do. No matter how petty the issue is. the stubborn attitude comes along with a huge ego. So for example if a stubborn person has asked you for a favour that you know you can't do,don’t gush out a no, give a slightly longer answer in a sweet tone if not apologetic, and at end let them know that you would have done it if it was possible for you to. Try to ignore their intense reaction, that’s how they are and that’s how they react. Don’t let their temper or frustration get on your nerves. if at times they blow out beyond proportion give them time to shrink back instead of pricking them.give them space to realize and rethink. let them be on their own, do not pamper them while they are being abnormally unrealistic and irrational. Don’t spoil them by giving up, if they try to impose something on you. Just quietly drift away and keep the explanations for later. Because once you accept their command as your wish. They will be off their feet and you will be expected to do the same every time. I know its not very polite to tell someone that they are stubborn but most people are not even aware of the fact that they are stubborn .Let these people know a couple of time and if its something that they do unconsciously they will be able to over come it but if its otherwise then stop right there.
