    Aphids, mealybugs, mites, scale insects, and thrips are what ladybugs (ladybirds) [Coccinellidae family] eat. They may supplement that diet with fruits and vegetables such as grapes, as in the case of Asian or Japanese ladybird beetles [Harmonia axyridis].
