When I was a child we had lots of weed and bug killer, the gasoline was full of lead, everyone smoked, even the kids, and drank left-over beer and wine. We learned to curse for the shock value observed on the faces of adults. Coco-a-cola had coke in it and white-lightening was a cordial enhancer, lineament and flavor extracting. It cured everything from fever to chills along with a shot of aromatic spirits of ammonia to calm the excited or shocked into a blissful lul-a-by. We had poisons, elixirs and tonics for ever conceivable and inconceivable ill. All of that has been asserted to be toxic, carcinogenic, and banned from public access or use. Too dangerous to have around. All that was replaced by doctor prescribed Pharmaceuticals and detoxified generally.
Take my word for it…Life is a deadly deal with one way out. Drinking battery acid or flavoring your tonic with the washer spray from a silver recovery sprayer and you’ll be whispering sweet nothings to the man up-stairs before you know it.
Your employer wants you to know what is at your work place that can kill you so that when you die on the job from drinking strychnine like water from a red garden hose that they can call your educated poisoning suicide rather than a job related accident for which they could be liable for your ignorance about the hazards on the site.
