Best for what, luxury, speed, utility, sports car or economy? It makes a difference, and as Bob has said, over the past hundred years, world wide, there were unlimited cars to choose from. If you ask the Brits, they have history with hand made luxury cars, and many subcompact sports cars. The Italians have some refined sports cars to boast about. The Germans had many utilitarian simple cars, and some fine luxury cars. The Sweds have some very reliable well built cars. The Japanese have economy cars, sports, and some to combine with luxury. We have most of all countries, and have blended all, to try to support everyone's wishes, sacrificing the economy usually. For me, some of the best built came from Ford, Willys, Chevy, Dodge, etc. It depends upon what era also, many vintage cars were great, but lacked economy and safety of today's cars.
