It is really a matter of opinion.  There are certainly a lot of highly educated people who are barely scraping by financially.  But I think the people who are educated (at least high school diploma) stand a better chance of being financially secure than someone who isn't that educated.
I would love to be a perennial student, but only if I had enough money to support myself in the process.    It would be really cool to study abroad for a semester!

It's not. Try buying something in a store with no money, while boasting that you have a PhD from Harvard! You can use an education to obtain the skills necessary to obtain money.

because, Money has a way of evaporating, but education will stay with you forever. And it will help you get a good career. Will money alone enable you to have a good career ?

It really depends, if you plan to work as a professional in a specific field or you plan to work for someone else for the rest of your life... Then education is best and always a good idea.

If you want to have your own business and have the resources and creativity to make it on your own, like hundreds of thousands of other people have, then go for it. Part of the problem in the US is that it's much harder to make millions or more (now) then it was years ago. There are/have been many millionaires that never completed their education.

Still education is usually knowledge and knowledge usually is connected to success and even power. Truth is how well does a person handle failure and rejection, those who learn from their failures and over come the obstacles have a high success rate.
