    help-need info re diagnostic checks and operation of glow plugs on 2000 F250 7.3 diesel

    Disconnect the glow plug loom from the glow plug relay . Get a test lamp connect it to the battery positive terminal put the probe end on the glow plug connections if the lamp lights they are probaly ok if it doesn't they probaly aren't . Alternatively get a multimeter with a 20 amp fuse and do the same test if you get a sharp amperage rise and the it begins to fall off the glow plugs are ok if it stays at an high eate of amps they are not. Do each plug individually not all at once with each method
