my 2000 jeep TJ heater motor quit working but I managed to get it going again but the second last setting does not work. Could that be one of the resisters and where are they located and how do I test them?

If you have multiply wires going to the heater motor the problem is probably in the switch itself. you could find one at local "junk yuard" for a few bucks and give it a try.
