How to tell if Pandora jewelry is authentic.
Things You'll Need
Current Pandora catalog
Instructions
1
Consult the current Pandora product catalog to be sure the piece you plan to buy is being offered, Robbins recommends.
2
Verify that the Pandora code is inscribed on each item. An example of a code on a sterling silver bracelet is ale925. "Ale" denotes that the piece is an authentic Pandora and "925" refers to sterling silver.
3
Check each charm or piece of jewelry for traditional metal markings. Pandora jewelry is made only from fine metals, such as 14- and 18-karat yellow and white gold, and sterling silver. For example, a sterling silver bracelet should be marked with the number code 925; gold should be marked with 14K or 18K.
4
Inspect each piece for high-quality materials. Pandora charms are made of Murano glass -- made only on Murano, an island near Venice -- genuine leather, high-quality fabric, natural wood and precious stones.
5
Confirm that the Pandora name appears on the side of each Murano glass charm.
6
Take the jewelry in question to a Pandora dealer for further inspection and confirmation.
