There are several things that you can try to fix this:

1. Try hitting the "reset button"(the little tiny one in the hole) with a paper clip;this should unfreeze it (in light of the fact that there are not any other problems). 

2. You can try pressing the lock/unlock button the side

3. You could also try plugging it directly into your computer with the USB cable.

4. Hold the power button down when you turn it off for no more than 30 seconds; Turn the device back on.

5. You could have done the initial set-up incorrectly. Make sure that it is 7" on 7", 8"on8", etc.

6. Try the install with a different ption

7. Drain the battery completely until the system goes dead on it's own, take the battery out for about five minutes, and then put the battery back in. (NOTE: When you take the battery out, hold down the volume buttons for about 5 seconds) If none of this works then I hope that your tablet is still under warranty, and remember that you can always try customer service if necessary!
