Do you have any idea why your B/P is high?... some common causes are obesity, stress, smoking, drinking, poor diet and lack of exercise or a number of other underlying medical conditions...It`s good that you are keeping a log of your B/P..but can you note activities, moods etc as well at the time of your reading?...It may give the Medical staff greater insight into the root of the problem..can you perhaps try increasing gentle exercise and getting dietary advice to see if this reduces your B/P...that may be a starting point to see your lifestyle is part of the problem..(That is not a criticism in any way..it just may be a lead for you and your Dr.to follow)...You sound like you are on the right track as you were sensible enough to see your Dr.concerning this and you are logging it.
All good wishes to you,millie.

Do you check your blood pressure cuff against your doctor's cuff. Do you get the same reading on yours that you get in his office. Take your cuff in.
I think you should call your doctor tomorrow and tell him what your reading is He may not know about that lower reading. Sometimes doctor's don't pay attention. Zorro suggested Benecar. There are others that will get your blood pressure down right away.

My doctor always says that a good level is about 125 / 75 but everyones level rises when they are stressed, as long as it comes down again after it's not a problem. Yours does sound high, but some people do have a higher range than others. Just see your doctor and they will give you some medication to bring it down a bit, and chill out.
