The obvious answer to the problem you are faced with is a lot of reassurance you can provide your husband.Usually this kind of behavior is caused by insecurities or abandonment issues during early childhood that counseling can heal.

You can not convince anyone anything. Are you sure he isn't having an affair and making excuses for a way out? Are you sure he isn't gay hiding a deep dark secret.
Maybe your husband has changed in ways he is unable to explain. Maybe he does see you unhappy with him, as he may feel unhappy within himself.
To make a relationship work it takes 2 committed people it seems as though he has lost that commitment.
Have you changed? Look at the big picture have there been problems can you match your partners sex drive?
When was the last time you went out had a date..
If you want to reconnect you need to make efforts to, it's easy to write what you want but actions speak louder than words. When was the last time you kisses and I mean really kissed? If you need to create passion you need to throw in new things, like sexy clothing, maybe some sex toys..
Only you know your relationship. Try councilling that can often benefit couples like yourself.
