Have you ever been to Spain.

I've been watching one of those real estate shows On TV. I think if I ever visited I would fall in love with the place & want to move there.(For a while).

Lots of times, lovely place but it is getting quite expensive now, their economy totally crashed last year and they seem to be recouping it from visitors and people who buy homes there.

Saying that you can still have a great time there.

All those little villages & beaches on the Med look beautiful.I s'pose they only show the best for TV but I.m still impressed. The house prices seem pretty reasonable to ours.

Most of them are just like you see on TV,houses are cheap but their new taxes are a killer, i have a friend who had to sell up and move home because of them.

Taxes. That's the part they don't mention on TV

Land tax, local gov tax, combined income tax, number of rooms in home tax,Central gov tax, the list goes on, plus you need to have an expensive local lawyer deal with it all of which most are not very good but expensive.

I've barely been outside of Texas. But, it's a BIG state..........

Never been to Madrid or Barcelona but have visited Seville. Great city in Southern Spain. One thing I noticed was that unlike many other large European cities, English was nowhere nearly as spoken as in Lisbon and Milan, for instance.

Luckily, my Italian and very broken Spanish allowed me to get by rather easily.

One very memorable moment that my son and I shared was getting a haircut in Seville.

You got away with your neck intact?LOL

No reputable Barber of Seville would dare commit such an act. Would he ?
    Tommyh

They say history repeats itself.I think it was a bit risky getting a haicut there.LOL

    I like living dangerously.

(Once I'm assured there is zero risk involved)

No I haven't. Are you going? Are you taking all of us with you? Are you paying? BTW, any date you choose, will work for me.          :)

    Awwwww...... :(

Yes nice country,  wouldn't  trust them too much though.

Really? Some Spanish guys worked for me for a little while some years ago. They were funny & good workers.

Yes I didn't really mean it to sound like all of them Tommy. Some of them that work on the holiday complexes that I've had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with, are not too trustworthy, but I'm sure generally they are no different from the rest of us, there are good and bad in all peoples.

No,to maney Spanish people their for my liking,

No, Tommy, but it WOULD be exciting, wouldn't it!  I'd like to live abroad for awhile....

Lived in Spain  for a year and spend part of most winters there. Going to Spain in summer is best avoided, too hot and too crowded
