3.5 grams are equal to 0.71 teaspoons.

Find some units of measure here:  http://education.wichita.edu/caduceus/examples/servings/what_is_a_gram.htm

A teaspoon is a very inaccurate measurement due to the variations in teaspoon sizes and whether it's a level t'spoon or a heaped t'spoon etc. ROMOS gave an exact figure but the best I can say is that it's about 3 quarters of a teaspoon.

A teaspoon measures a certain volume.     One teaspoonfull of different owders will weigh different numbers of grams.   So you can't do it this way.     You need A SENSITIVE BALANCE!
