Why does message speak about a problem today Tues 22 on Thurs 24?

I am a senior academic, but I wasted seven minutes trying to find out how to renew my loans. I finally did so, but only after I had disregarded a message saying that there was a still a problem on today Tues 22 Jan (on Thurs 24 Jan).

generated a statement two days old, implying today

I personally have always found the older Catalogue system more reliable in finding material and regret no longer having access to the system. I find the plethora of items thrown up very confusing. When postgrads advise that they cannot find items in Search, I tell them to use the older catalogue, because its Boolean searches were excellent. I do not know why I found more items, but I did. Sorry for the gripe. Yours Constant Mews
