    Not keeping my trap shut!

    I like your trap,
    jhharlan

Thank you, you're one of the few....
    mycatsmom

me too, jh. Maybe us Julie's are like that. Are you a Saggitarius too ?
    jhharlan

    Ooooooh, worse! I'm a Scorpio......
    itsmee

Keep saying. Keep saying. There are too many who fear the open trap. Let’s us take chances. Who knows what we might catch? : )
    sunnyB

Don't do that Julie, I like to see what you have to say.
    jhharlan

Thank you, @sunnyB. You've made my day!

    Your trap is fine! :)

45 years ago i was offered the opportunity to pull up stakes & go to a job in San Diego Ca.

I was unable to accept due to my first born being almost ready to be delivered.Naturally we wanted her to be born in this country & to have the same citizenship as us.

I often wonder how things would have turned out had I been able to accept that job in America.

Too bad they couldn't wait for her.
    Tommyh

Like most American companies at the time they wanted an answer NOW! Back in the day they were offering big bucks & lots of other fringe benefits so I guess the perogative was theirs.
No hard feelings tho.I'm happy with my lot as it turned out.:)

Considering most companies began outsourcing when Clinton opened that gate, that job may have been phased out before it paid off for you. There are no accidents when opportunities are missed.
    Tommyh

Strewth! This was years & years & Years before Bill got in. The job was only for a 2 year duration anyhow. But the money I would have made would have really set me up at that age.I was only 21 then & I had all the "BIG Ideas" that you have at that age.:)

2 years huh? Apparently you chose not to leave your wife and child even for 2 years. I think you made the best choice.
    Tommyh

    So do I.:)
    Ann

I think you are better off where you are.
    Tommyh

    @Ann.So do I.LOL
    mycatsmom

Bill Clinton signed the NAFTA agreement, and business and companies misinterpreted it to their benefit, and misused it to the destruction of the middle class of America.
    Ann

MC, You are right. He and the republicans killed the Glass-Stagall act of 1933 that caused our financial meltdown .

Not opening for B.B. King when I had the chance....got pregnant and moved to the west coast instead....oh the choices we make!!!  ;0

    hector5559

You are alright as you are,
    witchway

    I understand.
    itsmee

    Oh, sorry. : (
    lindilou

Hey..all is not lost..he's still around...and so am I..so, ya never know..I still sing the blues only here it sounds like..whining!! LOL
    bustieone

    Wow, the King, thats wild!
    lindilou

...and Lucille, his guitar...He is so cool...;)
    bustieone

I do not know if anyone will ever equal his talent!
    lindilou

We don't want them to...the King stands alone!! Gads he is wonderful. ;)
    lindilou

    ... was .... was wonderful... boohoo! ;(

    My first husband.

Not having kids. Somehow, all the factors for it never came together in the right place at the right time. Alas, it was not to happen. I guess it wasn't in the cards for me.   :-(     We all have our cross to bear.

You get another life. Have kids then.
    itsmee

I know quite a few people who do not regret not having kids. Really. So if you must, follow Colleen’s advice. : )

Even if you do not believe you will live another life, think of the babies that go to heaven, they will need looking after. You could create a family there.
    itsmee

Yup, maybe baby angels sing sweet songs instead of crying LOUD all the live-long night.
Me? I’m living another life. There has to be more than this! : )
    sunnyB

Kids can bring you alot of heartache as well.
    lindilou

You can volunteer at a hospital as a baby cuddler mcm!! You would get a blast just lovin' on those little beaners!! Try it out!!

I gave up writing.  Or it gave me up.

    jersy

Never it isn`t late, try and do your best.
    mycatsmom

keep writing, itsmee. I always wanted to be a writer too. So, I'm compensating by writing on FB and akaQA
    itsmee

I’m Attention Deficit. When I start writing a story (or article) it reminds me of other stories (or articles) I start to write them too. Then I have little dibs and dabs of stories all over my desk top. And then I get confused and delete them all and plan to start all over again.
There are some writers who use a typewriter to write their novels. That way they have to go slow and avoid the situation that I told you about.
I’m glad I wrote that down jersy and mcm. Maybe I’ll set aside 30 minutes and see what happens.

When Hallmark Cards offered me a job and my Mother wouldn't let me move. It was a different day and time, but I've always regretted that I didn't stand up for myself in those days.

    itsmee

Do you mean that your could write those little verses where the motto is, “...when you care enough to send the very best."

    witchway

No, I would have done the artwork only.
    itsmee

Wow! Yes, that was a chance in a life time. Do you use your art in a way that satisfies you? I went through a real arty spell but now I can’t do it anymore ... same as writing. No fair!
    witchway

Yes. For years I worked in different Art Departments and even had my own business for a few years, Graphics To Go. I still sketch, paint and use pen and ink. Decorating my home and helping others to decorate theirs and gardening are nice outlets for design ideas also. Designing will always be a part of my everyday life, for sure.
    itsmee

I wish I could start up again. My painting was called "Lotsa Dotsa" (Painted like Pointillism) Also "Cheerful Chairs, etc:" Also "A chip off the old block" (I usually painted on wood.) Maybe someday.

Making  to many wrong decision ,In life,

    lindilou

    sunnyB

Me too Dennis , but that's life. I have spent my whole life saying if only I had done this or that. But hea look at all the nice people we have met on aka.
    hector5559

    Yea sunnyB,
    lindilou

    Yea sunnyB.

    My first marriage.

Green olives can mold if left in a fridge too long. Had to make my meatloaf the other day without green olives in it.

    Tommyh

Ahhh! There it is! But you're only allowed one disappointment per answer!LOL
    Colleen

    They are almost similar.
    Tommyh

    So..BHO is a rotten olive?
    Colleen

    Moderator
LOL. No, the disappointment is similar. But then again......
    mycatsmom

I wish my only problem was green olives getting moldy .
    Colleen

Karma makes all the difference in life. Earn good karma and you only have to worry about moldy olives. The karma here I don't care about. It can all go away right now. Real life karma is what matters. Guess I've done OK if moldy olives is my only disappointment. :)

not getting back to work in Nov.as planned..that was pretty bad!...Still there`s hope;-)!

    itsmee

Yes, there's hope. I'm not doing the things I plan. But still there's hope.
Do you know the story of Pandora?
    millie111

    its..?Which Pandora...Pandora`s box?..I`m living in it!;-)lol xx
    itsmee

: ) Yep, millie, you know.

Where to start with THAT question.
Bottom line, my biggest disappointment is myself ....all the things I have not accomplished and all the times I've let down others andmyself.

    ROMOS

    You are the tops.

    Bob/PKB

Congratualtions! This is very good news. My very best hopes for you and your lady!
    ROMOS

    Thankyou P.
    hector5559

Being perfect would be boring,it would be like bowling a 300 game evertime, instead of thowing one down the gully now and again,
    Bob/PKB

Perfect only a goal for bowling. Just always doing my best, which I've not done too often. :]

You seem quite down on youself lately Bob. Stop looking back. It's the worst thing we can do to ourselves...we can't do it over!
    Bob/PKB

True, Ducky, and if we don't look forward, we'll trip and fall right over the next good opportunity. Thanks for setting me straight. Go 49-ers

Not been able to ,marry a millionair, I know some people say, money is not every thing, wish I had the chance to find out.

    itsmee

Oh meeeee too. Who would say “money is not everything?” Those people must have plenty of money. I didn’t want to marry money. I guess I wanted to print my own.
    answerseeker

LOL just win a game show
    itsmee

    I like your name, answerseeker.
    answerseeker

    Thanks, itsmee!!
    itsmee

ROMOS is a good namer, huh? : )
    Dollybird

answerseeker, be good idea, but I dont have what it takes to go on show like that.

I am disappointed that I didn't start my life sooner, although I was born early.

All things work together in time.

    itsmee

It’s dang hard to start your life before you come to earth.

Not fighting hard enough to save my brother's life.

Could you be blaming yourself for something that was not your fault? Judging by all of your other questions and responses, you sound very depressed.
    millie111

Yep I`m with Ducky...not prying please don`t think!...But am sure that you did all that was in your limits!..so please be kind to yourself! X MILLIE
    itsmee

What could you have done to make his heart keep beating? Does someone blame you?
