A 'braking' dog is talking to you, what does it want? A person i know here had their dogs vocal cords removed, this is insane watching this poor animal go through the motions of barking.. You can enroll your dog into a training school.. There's ways that are humane to take care of this barking problem.. I am sure you will have suggestions from our dog experts here too.

Dogs bark for a number of reasons. Boredom especialy if left on their own. To get your attention. To warn other dogs to keep away from their territory. To warn people the same, bugger off. If you care to feed me information on breed, sex, age and general living conditions I will endeavour to make suggestions that may help. All care no responsibility.

Sorry Laurie Bean I had to vote you down as I detest any device that causes discomfort to a dog. I have had over 70yrs experience with dogs and they have reasons to bark that can be"trained out" without resorting to discomfort.
