I personally do not believe in Purgatory, but here are some links for you to read.>>>http://www.google.com/search?q=how+do+you+know+if+your+in+purgatory&rlz=1C1LENN_enUS508US508&oq=how+do+you+know+if+your+in+purgatory&sugexp=chrome,mod=3&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

The Bachlor runs 24 hours a day with other "Reality" shows.
Seriously though, it is the Bible that shows us the true condition of the dead. Not some made up piece of stolen pagan dogma. Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10 states this clearly. "For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten....10 All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in She<font face="Arial">′</font><font face="Arial">ol, the place to which you are going."</font>
<font face="Arial">In Hebrew the word is Sheol, in Greek it is Hades and in English it is Hell. All these words mean only the grave. The grave is where we all go once we are dead. Before this in Eccles. 3:19-20, it shows where we go. "</font>For there is an eventuality as respects the sons of mankind and an eventuality as respects the beast, and they have the same eventuality. As the one dies, so the other dies; and they all have but one spirit, so that there is no superiority of the man over the beast, for everything is vanity. 20 All are going to one place. They have all come to be from the dust, and they are all returning to the dust."
Dead to the dirt, with no stops in between. There is no purgatory. And no, it isn't your soul traveling on without you. The soul is you. Genesis 2:7 defines what makes a living soul. "God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul." We are living souls. If we die, we are dead souls. No. The soul does die.
Surprised? Astounded? This has been available in the Bible, in English for 500 years. Why have you never been told? God says, "Look! All the souls—to me they belong. As the soul of the father so likewise the soul of the son—to me they belong. The soul that is sinning—it itself will die." (Ezekiel 18:4)
The fact of the matter is that in death, we gave no ability to feel, see, know, do anything at all. We can not be aware of our surroundings. In fact, Psalms 146:3-4 shows, "Do not put YOUR trust in nobles, Nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs.<font face="Arial">4</font><font face="Arial">His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; </font>In that day his thoughts do perish." No thoughts, no pain nor bliss, nor worry.
Purgatory is another one of those keep the money flowing ideas of the clergy. "I can pray your relative out of purgatory, but it will cost you." It is NOT a concept the Bible agrees with.

Instead of relying on clergies to tell me what is there and lie for their own advantage, I read it myself and let the Bible explain itself. That might be your problem. Knowing so many who have only used the Bible for a doorstop or slung it over their heads as a threat.
As for cut & paste, two reasons. One so you see it is the Bible's words, not mine, 2. My fingers hurt at times. I need to save them for the other part of answers using my own words and thoughts. It looks like you do not think I have any of my own.
Are these two answers an example of yours?
I have arthritis in my joints and psoriasis all over my hands. My finger tips get so bad that they split and bleed. I still use all my own words when discussing God. I share what I know personally about God. When you get close to God and not the negative source that actually had the bible written, then you too will know the true God, the Creator, the IT and that IT is neither male not female nor has any shape at all for IT is love and light and that is all. IT is an energy the fills every bit of creation for eternity. IT is not some man stuck between the pages of a never changing book. Existence changes every second but the bible never changes with the times. It's stagnant and old and out of date and out of touch with the people. Christianity is on it's way out. Fiction can never last, there always has to be a "the end" in fiction. How you interpret the bible is for your life exclusively. It is not for your neighbor's life.
