UNITED NATIONS – The U.N. Security Council voted Thursday to impose a no-fly zone over Libya and authorize "all necessary measures" to protect civilians from attacks by Moammar Gadhafi's forces, hours after the Libyan leader vowed to crush the rebellion with a final assault on the opposition capital of Benghazi.
The vote was 10-0 with five countries abstaining including Russia and China, which have veto power in the council, along with India, Germany and Brazil. The United States, France and Britain pushed for speedy approval.

I feel if you start a blue(fight) with someone then that someone should be able to fight back with whatever resources they have, in this case aeroplanes. When the rebels started to revolt, and don`t get me wrong I feel it is long overdue, they knew Gaddafi had planes rockets etc so why complain when these are used. If you had a firehydrant outside your house and your house caught fire would you only throw buckets of water on it? No you use what is at your disposal. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO KNOW THOU ENEMY. Did early settlers fashion spears arrows etc to fight the locals, pigs bum they got in there with their fire sticks.
