Instructions
With iTunes

Plug your iPhone in to your computer using its universal serial bus (USB) cord.

Start iTunes. If you need to download iTunes, go to the iTunes download site to do so.

Find the iPhone icon on the left-side column in iTunes. Click on it.

Click the "Summary" tab. This will give you the phone's serial number and phone number. If the owner of the phone gave it a name during setup, it will also be displayed in this area.

Close all applications on the iPhone.

Find your "Settings" icon. It will have a image of a gear inside of it. Tap on it.

Scroll down and tap the "General" option.

Hit the "About" option.

View and scroll through the information on this screen. This screen will give you the name of the iPhone and its serial number.
