I've bought a new MacBook Pro and in the synch from old to new computer, my emails duplicated themselves, sometimes tripled. I now have 9,000 emails which I want to delete. How can I do it without highlighting them individually?

Open Mail by clicking on its icon in the dock.

Click each email you want to delete in the email window while holding down the "Command" key to select a group of emails. Press the "Delete" key to delete the selected emails in bulk.

Delete a group of consecutive emails quickly by clicking on the top one, scrolling to the bottom or last email you want to delete and clicking on it while holding down the "Shift" key. Press the "Delete" key to delete the group of highlighted emails.

Search for emails by name, subject line or other item by typing what you are looking for in the search area at the top of the screen (with the magnifying glass icon). Arrange your emails by date, name or other data point by clicking the appropriate tab at the top of the window. Select and delete bulk emails from your search using one of the methods described in Steps 2 and 3.
