Where is the starter relay located on a 2000 windstar?

We replaced the starter which fell apart in our hands when we took it out but it still will not start.  Someone told us the starter relay maybe bad but we don't know where that is.

With the Ford Windstar, the starter solenoid has been integrated into the starter for a number of years so changing the starter should have done the trick. If your vehicle has an external starter solenoid (relay) then it would sit next to the starter. The lead from the positive battery cable would run to it.
