Read why this is considered the worlds funniest joke>>>http://articles.cnn.com/2002-10-03/tech/joke.funniest_1_jokes-humour-sense?_s=PM:TECH
Two hunters are out in the woods when one of them collapses. He doesn't seem to be breathing and his eyes are glazed. The other guy takes out his phone and calls the emergency services.
He gasps: "My friend is dead! What can I do?" The operator says: "Calm down, I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead." There is a silence, then a gunshot is heard. Back on the phone, the guy says: "OK, now what?"

The funniest joke in the whole world is one that everyone would find funny. Jokes about religion, ethnicity, age, hair color, physical traits aren't going to have universal appeal. I find one of the answers to this question not funny in the least.
Even the joke CB shared might not be funny to someone who was or knew a victim to a hunting accident. It was funny to me, though, as that kind of dumb can be hilarious...like the two blondes arguing about tracks they saw in the woods. One said they were deer tracks while the other insisted they were bear tracks. While they stood over them arguing, the train hit them both. THAT's funny to ME.
MY sense of humor tends to be eclectic. One of the funniest jokes I ever heard (or retold) can take days or weeks to tell, depending on your creativity and the patience of the "mark". When it was told to me, I wasn't highly amused, but pretty much laugh my a** off when I tell it to someone else.

You are correct however that some may not find killing a human being funny. I never find jokes about people getting killed funny. It's just wrong to laugh at the death of a person in my opinion. The joke on this world is mankind for all his destructive ways, including killing people, animals, the earth yet still thinks he knows the God that created him. My answer may have been tongue in cheek but I still find mankind to be the greatest joke presented to this universe and it has nothing to do with religion.
Your lesson on God is neither necessary nor appreciated here. I sincerely do not care what you believe about God, and I sincerely do not want to read about it. You assume to know which joke I referenced, and it's often a mistake to assume.
I think different jokes are funny to different people, depending on background and viewpoint. I like jokes on all topics if it is a true & good joke(s). I like jokes on race, death, politics, anything if some wit is involved. Bad thing about some comedians they think they can say anything even if not funny or witty and then blame the audience when they get no response and/or the audience gets mad about what they said.
