It goes along with the fact that more people believe in God than go to church! Just because you do not see me there regularly, doesn't mean I do not believe in God. So do assume that they do not believe either...

I do believe in God. Haven’t stepped foot in a church since I was ... uh 16. I went to a high mass or something in the Episcopal Church with my friend Jayne. We got the giggles over the outfits and the and hats the clergy wore. We were with her parents and we got in soooo much trouble. We had to leave with shaking shoulders and our hands clasped over our mouths. Jayne left a little wet trail. OMG! Haven’t thought of that in 100 years.
My story was that when I was a kid, preteen, and money was very tight (mom and 6 kids on public assistance). Anyway, we would have a quarter to put in the collection plate. Saw guys that collected for the church playing cards and gambling in back of church, during mass!!! I didn't attend regularly since then, as I was a bit scarred!
Because the time of year is all about the spirit of love, giving, caring and sharing. One does not have to believe in Jesus or God to believe in the spirit of love and kindness. Why do believers of Jesus find it so hard to share a holiday they stole from the Pagans?
I do not believe in Jesus as lord and savior but I do believe in the magic of the season and of course, Santa Claus :)

<--Standing. Clapping until my palms are red. Thank you, Colleen. I’m going to have to look up this Pagan thing. (Something I’ve missed in this live-long life.) : )
Did you know that the only time Christmas is even mentioned in the pages of scripture is to declare how wrong it is to practice something like this? Matt 15:3 - He answered and said to them, "Why do you also transgress the commandment of Elohim (God) because of your tradition (celebration of Christmas)? "It is a tradition of men because there is no verse in the bible that tells us that we are to celebrate the birth nor the resurrection of Yahushua the Messiah---let alone in a way that imitates paganism and idolatry!" It's very interesting what you learn about this holiday that Christians claim to only themselves yet their own scripture says they should not celebrate it.
