    Are you asking about how they draw blood?  They put a tourniquet on your arm to cause the blood vessel to enlarge.  They then disinfect the area, and put in the needle, and collection bag, if you are donating a pint.  If they are just taking blood for testing, they may draw out a couple of vials, so there will be no bag.  They then place a gauze and tape on the area, and have you hold it for a minute.  They have you restrict lifting, etc. with that arm for a day.  Nothing to it...
