Go to the doctor. You will have to pay for the visit, but the excuse is free of charge.

To Whom this may concern;
It is with the deepest sincerity that I write this note to you on behalf of __________ (Fill yer name in here and delete the words in parentheses). __________ (Again delete) has developed a severe case of Natiroeurosuofosis Duplicitous Nari-Nari Comotosiveness often misdiagnosed as the common flu. The course of this incideous disease runs for eight to ten weeks. It is a sad sad sad situation and a very rare one at that. I have never encountered this disease in the actual and factual sense until stumbling upon __________ (You know the drill by now) writhing in pain on the front step of my real life Doctor's office .... with chairs and all. The comotosiveness has now set in, rendering ___________ (You got it... erase this!) incapacitated and unable to fulfil any work place related commitments for the next eight to ten weeks or maybe more. One never can tell how long the recovery period may last. This disease often has a profound effect upon the fragile mind.

To Whom it May Concern:
Please excuse sleensty from work. While visiting my farm of exotic animals he was sneezed upon by my giant pink sea snail. Unfortunately, sleenstry, not being a sea snail, developed a very rare flu. As he is returning to work do not be surprised if he takes to eating seaweed and playing in the water fountains. This is normal behavior and may subside with time.
Sincerely Yours,
Doctor Doolittle

Dear Work: My patient, steenstry, came to see me this morning due to his illness. I accepted him on an emergency basis, as he had explained to my nurse that he was extremely ill. Unfortunately, after several questions and a variety of tests, it would appear that steenstry, is in fact, faking it. He does this regularly, because, as HE says, "I hate going to work"! Although this particular disease, rarely shows up on a lab test, many people suffer from it. I do understand that going to work every, single day of the week, is somewhat of a drag, and therefore, can be very stressful. I respectfully request that you give poor steenstry, one more chance as I attempt to help him through this latest crisis. Thank you, Dr. Sympathizer, MD
