Thank you for calling me "clever". I've given up on all the slang, guess I'm getting old!

if you live in the states, go to your public library. They might have free ESL  lessons. The pub library here in my town does. They have free tutoring too, for literacy.

I was very interested in the Enhlish when I was 12 years old. At that point I use to study and read the dictionary.  I was simply fascinated by words. I was very curious how one word could have so many endings. Example: psychology, psychologist, psychologically.  I wanted to know how you know what ending to use. Also its interesting that one word can have so many spellings and mean different things. Example: sun, son. Or, another Example: no, know.  English is a fascinating LANGUAGE and fun to speak.  I still study English. I love good speakers. Actually I love to hear people talk in general to see how they use LANGUAGE.  I also love accents for various parts of the country and the world. Language is one of our wonderful free gifts.

I enjoy dictionary work and see no need to not considering its use. Everyday I find a need for it and post dictionary definitions to illuminate the subject matter under discussion or consideration in my response.

I often look up words as well.

robertgrist you just reminded me that i need a new dictionary. i still love to look words up. this is kind of a funny story: one day i was looking up a word in the dictionary. my better half/partner said, "Oh no, somebody's in trouble if you have to look a word up in the dictionary."
