What food(s) do you refuse to eat??

Hey women..this is Doc. Doolittle-  I have seen multiple rodent brains....we use the brains to see if a disease state is possible and, if so, can we determine the disease and a good description of the disease along with the cause(s) &  effects of both the diseaes and statistics to different therapy options.................Reminder:  U may think this is non-sense but that is SO untrue!  Huh, this website must be having "issues" as I posted this under the comment you Q...to respond to lindi and jhh

I don't eat colliflower- hate the taste & texture and the pieces look too much like a rodent's brain.
    jhharlan

Just how many times have you run across rodent brains?
    lindilou

jh....in a car? or on a bike? (blink)
    jhharlan

    Not a fan of liver.

    dowsa

    me as well Bob.
    Dardaigh

I love liver...I used to order it at restaurants when I was 12-13. lol

Cook it with bacon, onions, mushrooms and green peppers, like a stir fry in a wok and it's delish.
    Bob/PKB

Had a BF who cooked it like that and it looked wonderful, but it's still liver. ICK!
    Dardaigh

    LOL...too funny! :D

    itsmee

Calf liver with bacon and onion is delish if you are pregnant. Beef liver is yuck.
You must be pregnant to enjoy the calf liver. Serve it with catsup.
I think it has too many vitamins in it to have it often. The liver collects all that stuff ... too much.
    Bob/PKB

Well, itsmee, that isn't going to happen for me. Maybe Kate will enjoy it!
    Dardaigh

Ha ha ha...you're on a roll, Bob! :D
    millie111

It`s like Marmite!..you either love it or you hate it !@Bob!..I love it!;-)

    Undercooked meat and chicken guts...........

    mycatsmom

eeewwww. Who would eat chicken guts ?
    jhharlan

I figure that out when I was taking the giblets out of the turkey as you do when you cook a whole chicken........
    itsmee

    doolittle

Ummm I don't eat rodents , their brains, on anything that resembles their brains! (actually I have no idea what MOLE is)

    Mexican Mole Sauce>>>Ingredients:

    1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    2 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
    3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 ounces dark chocolate, chopped (I usually use Hershey Special Dark, it has a sweetness that mellows the sauce)
    Directions:

Heat oil in a large saucepan over med.
    2
    low heat.
    3
Add onion, garlic, oregano, cumin and cinnamon.
    4
Cover and cook until onion is almost tender, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes.
    5
Mix in chili powder and flour, stir for 3 minutes.
    6
    Gradually whisk in chicken broth.
    7
    Increase heat to med. high.
    8
Boil until reduced, about 35 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    9
    Remove from heat.

Well, I didn't want to join you in the bathroom, gross girl. :(

I will try a food at least once.

I have a very diverse palate but

I do refuse to eat veal and lamb.

    itsmee

When I was pregnant, I saw lambs grazing on the green hillside under the blue sky. They looked very very good. For a few moments I thought I wouldn’t even need a pan.

I enjoy, raw minced beef. Unless I know what Im served, I wont eat it. and even at that, depending on what it is. Not into creepy crawlies.

    lindilou

    Nor I, Miss Dollybird, nor I! :)

i don't hate any food. i practically eat anything. exept cleaning products

    Ducky

    Moderator
    You don't eat cleaning products?????

assparagus looks like a lizard. Same color, same shape, same scales. Oh barf. barf. barf.

    itsmee

I almost think it will hump up and down on my plate like it’s a hot rock. Then that asssparagus will flick out its tongue. Oh barffffff.
    sunnyB

I did like it, I shall think of that every time it's on my plate in future.
    doolittle

I like it (but pee smells bad after you eat it)

Nothing can ever make me stop liking asparagus. Not even itsmee's glowing write up of the vegetable. If I buy 3 lbs of it, I eat all 3 lbs in a sitting. Nothing else, just the asparagus. I LOVE the stuff!
    itsmee

Would you like catsup on it? : /
    lambshank

Asparugus, one of my very favourite things
    Colleen

    Moderator
No, I would not like catsup on it but it would still not make me stop eating it.

    Anything awfully offal

    itsmee

Would Beef Tongue be considered awfully offa? My parents used to have ir and I enjoyed it. I liked looking at those little bumps on the top.
I was about 6 at the time. I believe Mom boiled it.
    lambshank

yup, I would certainly put tongue in that category, though I am led to believe I also ate it when I was very young, but then I fed my kids some pretty awful offal when they were little too (didn't eat it myself though)just thought I shouldn't restrict them to my own taste in food

green zucchini is one of the vegetable that i refuse to eat. I don't like the taste & texture.

    doolittle

Not keen on Koala or Wombat , too tough. lol.

    lambshank

Oh bulletman, I thought everyone knew that they have to be slow cooked!!
    bulletman

I'm having a New Year's party, i'll remember that, as i'm chief cook doing the Barby, it is going to be a clear warm night perfect for bringing in the new year, i hope you are well enough to celebrate 2013.
    doolittle

koala??? You can't eat such a cute creature!!!
    bulletman

Only joking LittleDoo, i do eat Kangaroo, it's delicious and no fat and cholesterol, now before you say something, there are more Roo's in the country than people; they have quadrupled in numbers since settlement, rember Oz has no predators to quell the numbers, Dingo's are carrion eaters, they maily concentrate on the humble sheep, which they do kill, mainly for lust.
    doolittle

lamb lusting sounds like a dangerous job-LOL
