The F5 error code is a communication error in the ERC(Electronic Range Control) or the clock control/display. It can be a loose relay or diode on the control panel, a broken solder joint, or a part that is over heating and opening up. When it cools back down, then it might work again.
Either way, the end result is going to be to install a new ERC. If you know someone who can decipher the control board, it might be an easy fix for that person. Most technicians would just recommend replacing the ERC.
Depending on the full model number, the ERC has about 3-4 different part numbers. A full model number will be needed to get the correct ERC for your appliance.
