Things You'll Need
PlayStation 2 PS2 wireless adapter High-speed internet
Instructions
1
Locate the expansion bay on the back of your PS2 and remove the plastic cap. Then, snap the network adapter into place in the expansion bay. Use a screwdriver to secure the adapter in place. Connect your phone cable or Ethernet cable to the appropriate port on the back of the adapter. Since the PS2 was manufactured before the rise of wireless Internet technology, it is incompatible with wireless signals and must be hard-wired to a signal source. Insert a PlayStation 2 memory card with at least 140KB of free space into an available port on the front of the console. Turn on the PlayStation 2 and insert the Internet set-up disk into the tray.
2
From the menu, select "ISP Setup." You will enter an ISP set-up wizard; your first step will be to register your adapter online. You will need to enter your age, personal information, and then you will need to accept the terms of service before the registration process will be complete.
3
Name your connection, and then select whether you have a manual or automatic connection (unless you enter your IP and DNS address manually every time you connect to the Internet, your connection is automatic.) You will then see a screen with your new Internet connection listed. You can then exit the wizard, remove the disc and play one of your favorite PlayStation 2 games online.
