Connect your iPhone to your computer and wait for iTunes to open. You can close iTunes down once it opens, allowing iTunes to open just shows you that your computer recognizes your iPhone. You can not proceed if you computer does not recognize your iPhone.

Click on "Computer" or "My Computer" twice. This will bring up a list of items that are on your computer. You will find options like "Hard Drives" and "Devices with Removable Storage."

Locate the portable devices. The portable devices are usually located at the bottom of the list of options.

Click twice on your iPhone to open up its contents. Your iPhone should be labeled as "Owner's iPhone" or by whatever name you changed it to. It should also be marked by a icon of an iPhone.

Click twice on the DCMI folder and then twice again on the folder that reads "Apple." This will bring up your photos.

Click twice on the photo you'd like to download onto your computer. The picture will open in your preferred photo viewing program. Click on "Save As" and save the picture to your PC. If the program you open the photo in does not allow you to save, then copy and paste the picture into Paint or your preferred photo editing software and then click on "Save As."
