Nov. 22 marks 49 years since President Kennedy was assasinated. To those who were around then, do you remember where you were and what you were doing? I was in my 9th grade social studies class when my teacher got an intercom call from the office.

Yes- I remember that horrible day! I was in high school and saw the news bulletin that he had been shot! Prayers were sent that it would not be too bad but it was! Those were terrible days! Seeing the funeral procession was very sad and seeing little John saluting his dads body as it passed was heartbreaking!

6th grade, morning recess....saw all the teachers at my little country elementary school racing to the 5th grade room, where the teacher had a TV.
When we returned from recess, our teacher (Beverly J. Crane) announced our president had been shot and badly injured, but there was a spark of hope.
Moments later she got a phone call from the office. "The spark has gone out," she said, when she returned to the front of the room.
