Gifts for 9 year old boys could include, dependent on where you live....dirt-bike....ATV....any kind of sports equipment...art supplies....as in Paintball! And maybe a horse? Or a go-cart...and plenty of helmets and safety gear...perhaps walkie-talkies? Or Scrabble? (just kidding)...microscope...rock and gem kit...air-rifle...karate lessons...basketball hoop and basketball...metal detector...surf-board...one-person kayak and lessons....archery equipment...a go-cart....did I just say go-cart again???   Oh man, if I'd only had boys.....enjoy my list!! And Peace!

Go cart? ATV? Kayak and lessons? A horse? (For a 9 year old?)

You would laugh at the presents that I used to buy for kids...they cost dollars, not hundreds of dollars! Will you buy me some Christmas presents...I'll get my list ready. :)
    lindilou

YES Duckers I am building your new pond-hot-tub-jacuzzi as we squeak...I mean Quack!! I thought a wish-list was in order...but in reality I'd go with the bungie-jumping thing...or didn't I list that?? Actually bungie-jumping is highly damaging to ones' brain so I suspect that one might be completely outta line...but a dirt-bike?? C'mon Ducky! What nine-year-old doesn't wanna break his ne....oh, I see what yer gettin' at...maybe lego is the way to go...but a PONY sure would be nice!! With a giant pooper scooper! 8D

And livyloo3 picked it as "Best Answer" while at the same time telling me (although I was joking) "are you rediculess hes turning 9".
    lindilou

Actually, dependent on where and how you make purchases, some of the 'expensive' stuff can be got second-hand or by barter!!! However, my list is a bit of an insane 'wish' type list, so forgive me if I went a little overboard on this one...but I am on an island after all....(blink blink) ;D
    lindilou

p.s. Ducky?? I thought yers was the best answer and was as surprised as everyone else to see that my 'crazy' list was picked!! Personally I think one should wait awhile before choosing...cuz you might pick the most "insane" answer by mistake!!! heehee!!....uh-oh...who are thosefellows in the white lab jackets over there guys? Guys?.............

Based on some of the other suggestions here, how about buying him a car, or maybe his first house....with a garage for his car!  Don't forget the yacht for out at his summer residence.

And he won't want to live away when he's 19 either! Unless of course he ends up with a yacht, car, house etc. in which case YOU could move in with HIM! Just kidding livyloo3!! I hope he has an awesome birthday with his loving Mom!! Peace.
    doolittle

Yup. A matchbox car, a Barbi dream house, and a yacht to play with in the bath tub!

:-)..lol Ducky...Don`t forget the games room, the cinema room and the indoor swimming pool!:-)
    Tommyh

How about a bungee jumping tower?
    lindilou

    Brain damage time Tommyh....weeehawww!!! lol

I like educational toys, science based would be great for most boys that age.  I am getting my godson a solar system model, interactive, and a book on planets.  Kids will never be well educated if learning isn't considered fun.  And they need to be challenged, most toys make kids dumb, not smarter!

    lindilou

Excellent choice!! My eldest child is striving for Astro-geo-physicist status!! Seriously...amazing!! :)

Legos and K'nex are fantastic gifts.
I, too, would favor something that is challenging and educational.
One of sons was an avid reader at 9, making book(s) appropriate.
The sports stuff is good. If the boy has a hobby.....
I'm not a big fan of video games or i-pods....stuff that "isolates" people from socializing

    Anything electronic.

Anything with wheels & an engine.

    A jet ski.

    An ultra light airplane.

Boys are much easier to buy for than girls.LOL

    lindilou

    My thoughts exactly!!! LOL
    livyloo3

a jet ski hes only turning 9! your crazy
    lindilou

Actually...they make mini ones now!!! I suspect they are very expensive though...like everything!!! :)
    Tommyh

Oh! I thought you said anything a 9 yo would LIKE.

depends on what their interests are. But, if my husband was still alive, he'd say, " JUST GIVE ' EM MONEY ! THAT'S WHAT THEY WANT ! ''

If they like sports, equipment, video games, books, tickets...When I was 9, I wanted 9 year-old girls. When I finally got them, I didn't know what to do with them. Now I'm older, and of course, so are they. Now I KNOW what to do, but I can't do it!

    Dardaigh

    LOL...forgotten?

    lindilou

    Dardaigh

    :D

Depends on what the boys are interested in . Judge from that.

    mycatsmom

dolly, you're the only one making sense here.
    lindilou

I have really really been trying to make sense here too...but ..uh-oh, here's the Mother-ship now..gotta fly but I'll be back.....now where did I put those keys...lol! ;)
    Dollybird

mycatsmother, thank you, that really cheers me up. I dont have children, but Im going on things I would like as a gift, that would tie in with what Im interested in.

    a video game or something

    Clonge
