Ichanged my cylinoid and I was trying to start my 2000 dodge durango, It was not wanting to start so I was letting it turn over for about 15-20 seconds trying to start it, while it was turning over it stopped turning over and made a loud clank that sounded like it came from under neath then continued turning over ,then eventually started after that happening twice. could have that did anything to the engine?

I changed my distributer cap not my cylinoid.... I'm sorry..
