its for my english coursework and i really need something like dracula to write about, but obbvs not with vampires, cuz its too simple, if you can help, please do, even simple, quick replys will help loads! THANKYOU EVERYONE xxx

Good themes for conventional Gothic stories are the classics--Frankenstein (the Promethean story about man becoming like god and suffering for it) Dracula (blood sucking terror of greed and revenge-or what I like to call anti-change) Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (the story of how technology changes the character of man and how man thinks he can go back at anytime) Werewolf! (another great story about how the change of man's character) Invisible Man, The War of the Worlds, and The Time Machine are all Gothic era stories that tells us about the greatest fear of that time--change.
