will my 2000 dodge durango still start if the plug wires are hooked up to the distributor cap in the wrong order

I changed the distributor cap and I am almost positive I put the wires back on in the same order they where but I asked what order they should be in on here and was given a different order then what they are on right now. my vehicle does start right up as they are now. should I change them to what I was told the order was ?

Yes, if the firing order in incorrect, then your truck will not start. Contact a Durango dealer with a garage to find out the correct order.
