    Please tell me where a trucker can get a shower on the highway from Fort Mcmurray to Edmonton?

    A trucker is staying in his truck over-night in Fort McMurray and desperately needs a shower to clean off scabie cream before it burns his skin. Where exactly can he go without going off his designated course? Does he really have to drive all the way to Lac la Biche to use his UFA cardlock pass? Seems awefully ridiculous if you ask me. There must be a shower closer to Fort MAC on Hwy. 63 South, isn't there? And why not? Is there a business or person kind enough not to charge him an arm and a leg so he can have a quick shower???

      Does this trucker have a CB? He can give a shout out to other truckers who would probably know better than this world wide forum as to where on that route he can get a shower. I live on the east coast. I'm a long way from there. He should also have a GPS and trucker maps to show him where he can go. I did when I drove a truck.

        No, It's all new equipment, just started hauling on Monday. Poor guy, he has a GPS, but unfortunately, there's no UFA. It's the only card he has. Everyone wants money, but we have it all invested in the company, not a penny to spare. Thank-you! Cool to know you drove truck, as I will too pretty soon. I am also a woman.

        I can tell you this, he will find no free shower and even if he finds a truck stop with an open shower, even that is pricey. Men's room and wash up the best he can. Adult wet wipes are great for G.I. bathing. If he's new to driving, he will learn fast there's not a lot for truckers out there. He is going to have to improvise ALOT. I wish him luck and you too when you get driving. Stay safe and remember, you are bigger than they are. If you must hit them, do it with your rear tandems, the cops will blame the other driver ;)

        Awesome! Thanks! It's sure not the life for everyone and I sure hope I don't hit anyone! He'll have to figure it out, I guess.. He doesn't do the spanish bath, long-haired, loves to shower. His son & I will be thankful to have him home tomorrow.
