There's a trick to that, apparently you are not a radio technician so I would take it to a technician. If it is crystal controlled you can't do it, if it's tunable you can. This is what I was told many years ago, today's modern digital radios i don't think you can. I did it years ago on an old Johnson 223 but that is really old.

I had a Laffeate over 200 channels C, B, Radio,with a one hundred watt burner,and a boomerang mast,in the loft,and upper and lower sidebands,
I gotcha beat, i had a laughing Eddy, Johnson 223, Phantom 1000 watt linear and a 36' Moonraker ontop an 80' tower with a TR44 rotor. ;) Mr. X was my handle
