    1994 ford ranger 4.0 fuel pump relay wont kick on changed relay,pump,and fuel filter still nuthing

    only way it starts is by starting fluid

    Well you covered everything I would have done except for the fuel pump fuse. The fuel pump fuse is under the hood, drivers side, in a black box next to the battery. The lid pops off at one end. Inside the box you will see a large set of fuses, colored clear, then a second set of small fuses and finally a set that are black cubes. The fuel fuse is the left hand 20A small one, usually yellow.

    Many times the fuses are the last place folks look, not me, it is an easy fix, so first on my list! Is this pump in the fuel tank? They are a pain...
