    Instructions
    1
Insert the Flash drive that has the video file on it that is to be viewed into a USB port on the DVR---typically this will be in the back of the DVR, although some models will have the USB port on the front hidden behind an access door.

    2
Turn the DVR on. Press the "Menu" button on the remote control.

    3
Navigate to the "Settings" icon. Select "Memory Storage" from beneath "Settings." Select "USB" from the list of choices presented beneath "Memory Storage." Press the "Enter" or "Select" button on the remote control to make the USB port active.

    4
Press the Menu button twice to return to the main menu. Navigate to the "Video" icon or to the "Media" icon. Press the "Enter" or "Select" button.

    5
Select the icon of the Flash drive from beneath the "Video" icon and then the video file from the list of choices presented beneath "Video," or select the video file from beneath the "Media" icon. Press the "Enter" or "Select" button to start the video playing.
