Download an iPod file transfer program to the computer desktop. One such program is Tune Transfer for iPod which works on both Macs and PCs (see the link in Resources). Double-click on the icon of the iPod file transfer program once it has downloaded. Follow the menu prompts to install the program on the computer hard drive. Reboot the PC after the installation is completed.

Attach the iPod connection cable to the dock connector on the iPod. Attach the other end of the iPod connection cable to a USB port on the computer.

Double-click on the iPod file transfer program to launch it. Wait for the icon of the iPod to appear in the left column of the iPod file transfer program. Click on the icon of the iPod to reveal a submenu of tabs for "movies," "music," "photos" and "Files."

Click once on the "movies" tab. Select the movie to transfer from the iPod to the computer from the list presented in the center column of the iPod file transfer program.

Press the "Save to" icon at the top of the iPod file transfer program. Navigate in the window that appears to the desktop of the computer. Press the "OK" button to close the window.

Press the "Copy" icon at the top of the iPod file transfer program. Wait as the iPod file transfer program transfers the movie from the iPod to the desktop of the computer. Quit the iPod file transfer program when the movie has been copied. Disconne
