Why did the CIA director really resign ?

How convenient days before expected to testify about the Benghazi incident , Petraeus comes up with a way out. An extramarital affair. Then here come the excuses he cant testify. My guess his wife wont leave him, will still be with him , and forgive him. Why , because its a sham. The white house quickly to say he did right decision to resign , telling him he wont testify now, and saying it had nothing to do with benghazi testimony. Bull Butter. He resigned to save the administration and cia reputation that they failed to keep , and to cover it up. Dont believe it people.

Off course he did, he's a "politician" too, they are all inherent liars.

The mystery deepens. Cover-up in the Whitehouse!

The 'out front' extra marital affair is a coverup for the real issue of Benghazi.  This is giving the media fits because they need to connect the two, not good because it makes things look bad on current administration, this will continue for some time to come.  very interesting.

he is having extra merrital affair

He is going to be made to testify. Congress is already all over this. There's no sneaking away for Petraeus.
