    landlord and tennant act 1985

under section 11 subsection (1) b there is a requirement for a landlord to keep in good repair and proper working order for sanitation basins sinks baths and sanitary conveiniences.  We have both shower and bath but because of mobility problems ( I am 80) my wife and I cannot access a bath.  The shower has been out of action for over 2 months and because a shower is not mentioned in the legislation he says he has no obligation to fix it.   Anyone know different?    Les.

Who put the shower in? If it was your landlord or if it was there when you moved in then he should be liable, but not knowing where you live it may be better for you to seek advice from your local authority.
