Because peoples heritage is part of their culture . The more you understand about it the more you understand the person and the reason they do some of the things they do.. You have a heritage and it is why you were brought up with the beliefs and standards. You want people to respect that , so you should give the same respect. Its also a part of history which has helped us evolve through out this world.You may not like it or agree with it,but you should at least learn a bit about it before you make a decision and still respect it .

There is a lot to learn from other cultures and traditions - language, food , religion, etc. Respecting that enriches your own life. God created us different so we may learn from one another. This word today brings us closer to different cultures and so pluralism cannot be ignored. It should be embraced.

i respect the heritage and culture of anybody in all foreign countries, i obey their laws and respect their way of life..but when a lot of them come to my country,they want to change our laws to their laws from the country they got away from,,i am a very confused Aussie when it comes to immigration ....always nice talking.......................................................................................................
