I do not think the marathon should be held.
They are still in search and research mode. I believe 80 per cent of the runners would be glad to donate their time and effort to some thing -- anything!
I think it’s almost an insult to those who are suffering.
Artists are putting on a concert tonight. (Friday) It will raise money for the down and out and wet.

Bruce Springsteen wrote a song about 22 years ago. It’s called “Sandy” It’s about the area that got hit. I can’t quite get the lyrics yet ... but Wow! huh?

BAD IDEA! There was a very moving baseball game at Shea Stadium, when baseball resumed after 9/11. Participants have looked forward to this marathon for years and have gone through grueling training. There are always inspirational cases like those in wheelchairs or the ones who cross the finish line the next day. The victims of Sandy need inspiration and if the race just inspires one of them, it's worth it.
