    Is it possible that Slavery would never have existed, at least not to the extent that it did, if those destined for enslavement possesed FIREARMS and, knew how to use them

    I would think that after inhabitants began disappearing, the native peoples would have begun protecting themselves.

      The people who became slaves were the loser of some sort of war and were sold by fellow countrymen....
