1 Answer
X-1/2 + 2X+3/4 = 1
If the questn is as above... then lets go
X-1/2 + 2X+3/4 = 1
we look for an LCM which in this case will be (4), so we have
(X-1/2 + 2X+3/4) / 4 = 1
(2X - 2 + 2X + 3) / 4 = 1
(4X + 1) / 4 = 1
from here, we multiply through by (4)....which will give us...
4X + 1 = 4
4X = 4 - 1
4X = 3
dividing through by (4)
4x / 4 = 3 / 4
x = 3/4 OR 0.75
