The domestication of pigs through time for selective breeding for aesthetic purposes resulted in pigs’ curly tails. Unlike wild hogs which have straight and tufted tip, a domesticated pig’s tail is curly. While there are also other breeds of pigs which have already curly tails. Another theory for its curly tail is for protection, because pig fights include tail-biting so having a curly tail as a protective means can mean a lot to avoid injuries and harm. Pigs are indeed tasty but also full of history.
