Are the shoes part of a costume for Halloween? They don’t look like "happy feet” shoes to me. Reminds me of a can-opener more than shoes….was the designer confused, crazy, or desperately seeking to break from traditions? If so, they succeed. Tell me the shoes were not made for human feet.
After further thought, the contraption is possibly for ballerinas who seek to be up on their toes a bit more than their bodies would normally allow them to accomplish without the training support.
