Variable to ea individual...but often pain starts mid abdomen...and radiates to the right illiac fossa...right side above pubis...often sharp...sometimes a result of chronic constipation...Nausea /vomiting may occur...but if in any doubt of symptoms..then please get medical opinion!

Appendicitis is an inflammation of the appendix, a 3 1/2-inch-long tube of tissue that extends from the large intestine. No one is absolutely certain what the function of the appendix is. One thing we do know: We can live without it, without apparent consequences.

They use the tissue of the appendix now for re-constructive surgery - Thought to have something to do with birth - A great spare part in case you need a new bladder. :)

If you are having pain see a doctor! I waited too long! My appendix burst! It's a long recovery and the doc about 2 more hours of waiting that I would not be here now! Take care! Pain is a messenger of something amok!
